The Rules
Every activity must be logged on Strava.
A single run can qualify for multiple scorecard entries.
E.g. If you joined a Froyday run and left at 5.30am, that run can be counted towards:
- a one hour run
- a 5am start
- one of your Kinisi runs
- the Roy’s part of Full House
- towards either SM or LG Straight
Â
Don’t live in the Wanaka region? Fret not! While you may not be able to complete the scoreboard you can still score up to 330 points. So, take a Chance, roll the dice and get running!
Upper Scoreboard
- A run must be logged on Strava and be at least 30 mins moving time
- Each row has a maximum potential of 5 entries (equating 5 dice)
E.g. You can score up to 5 ‘one-hour runs’, each with a value of 1 point, to accumulate a maximum of 5 points - Every 3000m vert accumulated during the month gains 3 points, therefore 15,000m vert is required to gain maximum points for the row. This will be based on your monthly Strava vert stats for September.
- As in Yahtzee, if your total Upper score is 63 or more then you get 35 bonus points.
- If you complete a row, this counts as a Yahtzee and you get 10 bonus points, logged in the lower scoreboard.
Lower Scoreboard
- Each line is a complete challenge and you either successfully complete it or not.
For example, if you summit 4 of the mountains in the Full House row, you score 0 points!
You must summit all 5 and then you gain 50 points. - Photographic proof of you at the DoC hut is required, no long-range photos!
- The SM Straight and LG Straight are independent. Runs used for the SM Straight cannot be used for the LG Straight. Reminder that a run must be at least 30min moving time.
-
Chance: for all of those that enjoy to cross train, here is your opportunity.
30mins moving time applies. Each activity gains 4 points.
Chance activities are limited to the 5 stated, but in their various forms (i.e. Biking includes Road/Mountain/Gravel/Zwift, Skiing includes Alpine/Nordic/Back Country). Sorry, as much as we endorse and encourage all activities, in this situation pickleball and strength training are not included as a chance activity!
It’s a Chance so use it as you need, e.g. 5 x bike; or 1 x bike, 2 x swim, 2 x ski.
Â
Most importantly, HAVE FUN and GET MOVING!!
