The Garmin inReach Messenger is a compact satellite communicator for runners, hikers and mountain athletes who head beyond mobile coverage. It sends and receives two-way text messages over the Iridium satellite network and has an interactive SOS that connects to Garmin's 24/7 response centre.
It pairs with your phone for easier typing, and switches between satellite, Wi-Fi and cellular where available. It is a light way to carry a safety net without a full navigation unit.

Mobile coverage in the NZ high country runs out quickly, and a phone alone isn't a plan. The inReach Messenger is small enough to clip on a pack strap and still gives you messaging and SOS. It suits runners who want to go further, with someone knowing where they are.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping: $10 flat rate NZ-wide, free on orders $200+, and no rural surcharge. Order before 1pm (Mon–Fri) and it usually ships the same day. Most parcels arrive in 2–5 working days.
Click & collect: pick up from the shop in Three Parks, Wānaka. Usually ready within 1–2 hours.
Returns: changed your mind? Exchange or store credit within 14 days of your parcel arriving (7 days for in-store purchases). Items need to be unused with tags on, and footwear tried on indoors only. Sale items, socks, nutrition, gift cards and safety gear can't be returned.
